Hey, sorry for the lack of updates again, I'm not dead yet. I'm still working on the game, I just haven't finished much and I don't like posting without anything new to see.
I'll post a proper update as soon as I have a new feature or the new mod tutorials ready though. Thanks as usual for the comments and bug reports too, they are really helpful.

This weekend I've mainly been tidying the recent features to prepare for new modding files, but I've also put together a small release with some improvements and bug fixes from last week:
DL: SDT1_21_1b.swf
- Changed layering and adjusted hand job animation to hopefully improve the clipping problems.
- Added scaling for hand job mode controls so you don't have to keep the mouse all the way to one side when movement is limited (this should improve auto mode slightly as well).
- Fixed shuffle always ending up in hand job mode.
- Fixed rendering bug on his foot shadows.
- Fixed right hand nail polish resetting to black.

*edit* Last minute bugfix.
This release adds separate controls for her left and right arms, and you can find hand job mode in the new arm position menus. The controls work the same as the previous hand job mode if you set either hand (or both) to the hand job position. There are new dialogue actions to move each arm, as well as a few minor graphical fixes.
I've tried to test all of the combinations of costume and position that I can think of, but let me know if you spot anything broken. The next release will be mostly bug fixes, because I still want to fix some issues with the animation too, but mainly because this has changed quite a lot of the modding elements.

Weekend update
Apart from fixing a few more bugs, I've mainly been working on finishing hand job mode again this weekend. I'm trying to redo her "behind back" arms properly, because adding the animated arms on top of them was originally a bit messy. If I can tidy it up, I'm thinking of replacing the "normal / hand job" mode setting with just a position list for each arm (so hand job mode would toggle on if either hand is in that position).
I need to spend a while concentrating on the mod files after that's all done, because a few things have been broken by hand job mode, and the templates need updating. I'll try to draw some new content or characters as well though so there's something for non modders.
I'm away next week, so there won't be an update on Sunday, but I'll get a release ready for the week after that.

I spent a while trying out ways of faking a more 3D arm this weekend (as a few people suggested in the comments), but I haven't been able to make something that looks better yet, so I've rolled this release back to a fairly stable version. There are still a few improvements to the hand job and auto modes, but apart from that it's mostly a bug fix release.

Weekend update
Thanks for all of the feedback and bug reports last week. This weekend I've mainly been working on improving the hand job mode, trying to reduce or remove some of the limits, and fixing the bugs spotted in the comments.
I'm not sure if there's a way to keep the movement free in more extreme positions without it looking awkward, but it might be realistic that some of the positions are just awkward. Either way I'll probably upload a minor release next weekend with a better version of the mode.

This is mainly just an update, but I wanted to release a version with a few bug fixes even if there aren't any new features in yet.
Mod fixes:
- Fixed her back not being HSL shifted.
- Shoulder mask is now automatically removed when loading a mod (also, the mask is no longer re-enabled after taking a character shot).*
- Fixed chest layer for bottoms being masked.**
Other:
- Fixed costume buttons in character menu stopping other characters from being loaded.
- Changed dialogue styles to accept lower case names. (So {"style":"thought"} instead of {"style":"Thought"} will work now too.)

The mechanics are pretty simple, but I'm still thinking of a good way to handle all of the possible position / auto mode combinations you might want (without just having loads of new menu options). I'll probably start out with a basic one handed release before trying to do anything more involved though. Ideas are always welcome even if I don't get a chance to reply in the comments.
* The shoulder mask is a nasty workaround to force Flash to render the costume and arm edge more precisely. This doesn't matter much for opaque costumes, but any glitches are very visible for semi-transparent tops. If any modders actually want to have the mask, I can add a toggle to the mod files.
