I'm going to try to make it more user friendly, and add some tools to help with sorting through and editing multiple lines, then I'll release it next weekend. I'll try to add some more costume options too so that there's something new to see in the actual game.
*edit* I'm thinking of changing dialogue mods so that the default lines are automatically cleared, because it seems like people usually just clear everything apart from the finishes. If this will break a lot of mods though I'll find a different way around it.

DeleteAs to dialogue, I think what would be most useful would be a conditional thing. To do this though you would probably need to add a pleasure meter for the female. For instance, you set it so that she gets pleasure when fucked deep/rough/gentle and when cum is on face/tits/in throat and when you hit those marks he pleasure goes up and she starts getting more in to it and shifts to a second dialogue tree with more dirty talk etc. This way it comes across as a dynamic thing, rather than always the same dialogue.
No idea how difficult that is mind, but I think it's what I'd be looking for when writing dialogue anyways.

I don't know if that would be a "trigger" but it would be great for dialogue writers, if her lines would be mood-dependent.. So the writer sets up different ranges for each mood he plans to use, putting into each range lines for all the possible trigger actions. Like [happy_swallow], [angry_swallow] etc.

The scroll wheel should work on those areas, but it was only added to the mac Flash Player fairly recently, so if you're using that updating might help.

It's frustrating when every time I see a typo or something that doesn't sound right, I have to go through all the dialogue lines to find it, so it'd be nice if there would also be a button on the dialogue box when something comes up to edit it right away.
Also, with all these modifications, could you consider fixing the glitch that prevents dialogue being saved onto characters so we don't have to keep uploading the dialogue every time we change characters.

I know how to use CTRL+F, it's what I have to do. I have nearly 1000 lines of different dialogue. It's not really cluttering gameplay, it can be a small little box maybe at the bottom left that can be clicked for easier modifications of lines of dialogue that don't look right; those who don't use it probably wont even notice it.. You probably don't mess with dialogue that much, if you had a bunch of lines of dialogue then you'd probably see the use in such a function. Unless you just almost always get your dialogue lines perfect the first time around.

ReplyDeleteI have two suggestions for additional customization options. First of all, I'd love to see a way to add freckles to characters without having to include them in the hair. I'd suggest allowing them to be colored, to allow for maximum customization. Perhaps include either multiple, non-exclusive freckle patterns so that a variety of freckle densities and locations can be represented. Even body freckles would be cool. I totally understand that this might not be a top priority, but it seems like something that might belong on the to-do list, at least.
Second, I made a comment before in which I suggested including flat coloring/cel shading. This would allow for much better representation of cartoon and anime characters. If you didn't see it last time, clicking on my name should take you to my previous comment on the subject. If you did see it and chose to ignore it, I understand. Either way, thanks for reading this.
I'm definitely going to add freckles, I just want to think of a way to make them a bit more flexible without just adding lots of different versions and controls.

If her dialog was modified by her mood or vigor, you could specify exclamations based on mood. For example, there could be base dialog based on vigor, with exclamations based on mood:
Vigor_Self:
- "Mmmm... Is this how you like it?"
- "Please, can I try again?"
- "I want to please you. Please let me keep going!"
Vigor_Hard:
- "You're hitting my throat!"
- "I'm choking!"
- "Let me catch my breath!"
Mood_Happy:
- "Mmmm... That's right! I want to please you!"
- "Yes! I'm all wet now!"
- "Mmmm... I like it. Please! More - just like that!!!"
Mood_Angry:
- "This is SO wrong!"
- "What do you think you're doing?!"

This way, if the vigor is HARD and she's ANGRY, you'd get dialog like this:

And if the vigor is SELF and she's HAPPY, you'd get dialog like this:
- "Mmmm... Is this how you like it?"

You could use these modifiers *in addition* to all of the event-based dialog for things like FIRST_THROAT, etc. This way, she would have plenty of filler dialog that could apply at any time.
Also, have you given any thought to event-driven or timer-driven changes? It would be really cool to have her mood change from ANGRY to AHEGAO after the first time she passes out or to HAPPY after the first time he cums - or after specified about of time or after a random amount of time... The mind boggles... :)

Though I would like to see you eventually implement new default dialogue that takes at least some advantage of the system you're building. I feel like it's starting to fall a bit behind as you start programming in the ability to control actions and features, and the Aheago mode doesn't even have the stupid, stupid dialogue it no doubt should.
Can you program a POV deep throat view? That would be awesome. It would be like looking down and her eyes look up at you as she deep throats. That would be the ultimate upgrade.

Anyway, I'm not good in "computers" (some advices for additions to the game are really for "computer lovers" and I don't understand anything in it).
But I don't criticize. I just see the ENORMOUS potential for this game, and it's just the beginning. I insist: new sex penetrations (except from the mouth)would make "it" absolutely mythical!
This "game" has a "fluidity" and a grace that I've seen nowhere else.
